STAR stands for Survey of Tenants and Residents. It has been designed to replace, and improve upon, the Status survey.

Whilst the final announcements of the consultation period have yet to be made, indications are that there will be a survey for Wales and five separate UK STAR surveys:




Each survey will include seven core questions and additional questions can be added as required.
